Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has participated in numerous TV programs. She is an actress from Afghanistan that was raised in Kabul Afghanistan. After fleeing her country of birth, her family moved towards America. US. She was given asylum and allowed to stay. She was raised by her sisters who resided and two sisters in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her TV career with a role in National Commercials. Ghanizada received the award in recognition of her role in Chiara, the main character of Laura Neri's 2004 movie A Kiss on the Nose. The roles she played on television include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. The most recent role she has played is the role of a supporting character in Blood Shot, (2009) - based on the science-fiction film Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was a part of the General Hospital spinoff General Hospital which was broadcast on prime-time TV. In the second season of Nightshift, she played holistic specialist the Dr. Saira Bastra.
